The International Festival and Events Association awarded Macon's Cherry Blossom Festival the Grand Pinnacle for 2007 which literally means the festival is the Best Festival in the World!
The budget category for the award was $750,000 to 1.5 million, and the festival competed with hundreds of other events. This was only the second time in the festival's 25 year history to win this award with the first taking place in 2004.

Shining Example Award for Best Festival in 2006 & 2007 by the Southeast
Tourism Society
Best Festival winner by the Southeast Regional Festivals and Events
Association in 2007 and 2005
The Festival won Fifteen IFEA awards during the conference in September of
2007, and Nine Kaleidoscope awards during the conference in February 2007
Named to the 2007 World Events Calendar for 2007by the Chicago Tribune
