The 2009 Cherry Blossom Festival has been named a Top 20 Event in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society as well as a Top 100 Event by the American Bus Association!

The International Festival and Events Association awarded Macon's Cherry Blossom Festival the Grand Pinnacle in 2007 and 2004 which literally means the festival is the Best Festival in the World!  The budget category for the award was $750,000 to 1.5 million, and the festival competed with hundreds of other events.    

Other awards Macon's Cherry Blossom Festival has won are: 

Shining Example Award for Best Festival in 2006 & 2007 by the Southeast Tourism Society

Best Festival winner by the Southeast Regional Festivals and Events Association in 2008, 2007 and 2005

The Festival won 18 IFEA awards during the conference in September of 2008, and Eight Kaleidoscope awards during the conference in February 2008

Named to the 2007 World Events Calendar for 2007 by the Chicago Tribune
