PORSCHE CLUB AUTOCROSS
Presented by Ocmulgee Porsche Club of America
Macon Centreplex from Noon until 5 p.m.; Registration begins at 10 a.m. Cars will compete for fastest time in class and fastest time of the day on a course laid out in the Centreplex Parking Lot.  One car will compete at a time with all car types welcome.  $25.00 per car with trophies awarded to the winners.  Please call 478-731-6000 for more information.  Free event for spectators.

 

MR. MASAJI, CANDY MASTER
Miller Lite Central City Park from Noon until 6 p.m.
Masaji Terasawa performs amesaiku, the 2000 year old art form of candy making, throughout the day in front of Cherry Market.  With a small bowl of rice syrup, toffee, and a sharp blade tool, in mere minutes Mr. Masaji's fingers transform the tan sphere into a winged dragon, dolphin, or other fantasy object. 

 

THE AMAZING ANIMAL ATHLETE DOG SHOWS
Presented by the Greater Atlanta Dog & Disc Club in association with WOOF Sports USA;  Miller Lite Central City Park;  11:30 a.m., 1:30 and 3:30 p.m.

Don't forget your camera!  Some of the best Disc Dog talent in the world will perform several freestyle demonstrations.  Featuring former World Champions Melissa Heeter & Ariel Asah and her State Champions dog Ariel Ally. Free Event!

 

CHERRY BLOSSOM LANTERN LIGHTING CEREMONY
Presented by Wesleyan College
Third and Mulberry Street; 2 p.m.

You're invited to celebrate international friendship as dignitaries of the Festival's featured countries light the ceremonial lantern located in Third Street Park.  This event takes place in Downtown Macon before the Cherry Blossom Parade.  Free Event!

 

GEICO'S CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL PARADE

Cherry & Mulberry Streets; 3 p.m.

Join in the fun as we celebrate the Cherry Blossom Festival's annual parade.  Colorful floats, military units, marching bands, costumed performers, and celebrity Grand Marshals. Take a seat on Cherry or Mulberry Street to see the excitement from the front row.  The parade will also be broadcast on Today's MGT Monday, March 31st at 5 p.m. Free Event!

 

MERCER/MACON SYMPHONY YOUTH ORCHESTRA CONCERT

OLDIES NIGHT FEATURING BONE & HOLMES
Media Partners Today's MGT, 1500 WAYS AM and The Eleventh Hour;  Miller Lite Central City Park from 6 until 9 p.m.  Come Jam in the Park to the red hot soul act Bone & Holmes.  Their music will have the park rockin' with songs like Electric Boogie, Brown Eyed Girl, and Wild Thing.  Bone & Holmes are well known in the Middle Georgia Area and always bring out a great crowd!  Free Event!

 

OCMULGEE NATIONAL MONUMENT LANTERN LIGHT TOURS
Presented by the Ocmulgee National Monument; 7:00 and 8:30 p.m. 1207 Emery Hwy. Adults only $5.00 and children are free! 
Experience a ranger led, one mile walk among the ancient Ocmulgee Mounds.  The tour ends with a dramatic view of downtown Macon at night.  For more information, please call 478-752-8257.
