GRANDPARENTS DAY IN THE PARK
Miller Lite Central City Park from 4 until 6 p.m.

Grandparents bring your grandkids for a special afternoon just for you.  Enjoy Cherry Blossom Bingo together from 4 until 5 in the Food Tent, and check out the specials from the food vendors that were created especially for grandparents and their grandchildren.

THIRD STREET PARK FESTIVITIES RIBBON-CUTTING CEREMONY

Third Street Park from 11:30 until 1:30
Take your place in Downtown Macon for a grand celebration signifying the opening of the Cherry Blossom Festival's Third Street Park Festivities.  Visitors can enjoy concerts and performances, free soft drinks from Coca-Cola and Cherries & Cream ice cream from Dairyland, Inc.  Also, enjoy complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides.  Third Street Park is the perfect place to spend your lunch break!  Free Event!

 

CHERRY BLOSSOM ORGAN CONCERTS
Mulberry Street United Methodist Church at 12 noon
The Macon Chapter of The American Guild of Organists will present a 30 minute organ concert especially for guests of the Cherry Blossom Festival.  Steve Godowns, Organist from Houston, Texas will be featured.  Please call 478-745-8601 for more information.  Free Event!

 

APRON DECORATING CONTEST
Miller Lite Central City Park from 2 until 4 p.m., $5.00 per entry

An apron decorating contest, another Think Pink event, will take place with $100 prizes for the category winners which include Most Unique, Judges Choice, and Best Theme.  Register at the park from 2 until 3 p.m in front of the food tent.

 

BLUES NIGHT FEATURING BIG MIKE AND THE BOOTY PAPAS

Don't miss local favorite Big Mike and the Booty Papas for a fun filled evening of live blues music.  With over 100 years of combined experience among their members, Big Mike and the Booty Papas play the Blues over 260 dates a year.  They have opened for such legends as Bob Dylan, Johnny Winter, Les Dudeck and Dr. Hook.

CHERRY BLOSSOM AMERICAN BALLROOM CLASSIC

HAY HOUSE BEHIND THE SCENES TOUR

A FESTIVAL OF MUSIC FOR ORGAN AND BRASS
St. Joseph Catholic Church at 7:30 p.m.
The beautiful and historic St. Joseph Catholic Church will host a concert of organ and brass music to celebrate the Feast of St. Joseph, patron saint of the church.  The Colony IV Brass along with Nelda Chapman as the organist, and Robert Sumowski on timpani will present the concert at the church on 830 Poplar Street.  For more information, please call 478-745-1631.
