DICSOUNT DAY IN THE PARK

JACK GOLDEN ENVIRONMENTAL  EDUCATION SHOW                                                                                                                                   Presented by Georgia Power Porter Auditorium on the campus of Wesleyan College at 10:30 a.m.
Dr. T is America's Favorite Trashologist.  "A Litter Bit Goes A Long Way" is a fast paced 45 minute assembly program that second graders from all over Middle Georgia will enjoy.  Using juggling, slapstick, jokes, song and audience participation, students learn facts about litter as well as rewarding and important ways they can directly contribute to their home, school and community environment.  For more information, call 478-751-7427. A TASTE OF THE SOUTH
10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at 730 College St. $5 per person
Enjoy old-fashioned Southern hospitality in the gracious surroundings of the Garden Clubs Center which was designed in 1910 by Neel Reid, a renowned architect who started his distinguished career in Macon.  The house contains many original furnishings and is on the National Historic Register.  The Federated Garden Clubs of Macon holds exhibits that include flower arrangements, antique linens, and artwork.  Please call 478-742-0921 for more information.
