VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION DAY
Miller Lite Central City Park from 11 until 6 p.m.

All Cherry Blossom Festival volunteers come to Central City Park and enjoy a day especially for you.  Prize drawings will take place at noon, 3 and 6 p.m. at the stage.

FOUNDERS DAY CELEBRATION & THIRD STREET PARK FESTIVITIES

Take your place in Downtown Macon for a grand celebration under a canopy of Cherry Blossom Trees in honor of Mr. William A. Fickling, Sr., the man who discovered the first Yoshino Cherry Tree in Macon and Mrs. Carolyn Crayton, the founder of the Cherry Blossom Festival.  A Wal-Mart cake will be served at 11:30 and visitors can enjoy concerts and performances, free soft drinks from Coca-Cola and Cherries & Cream ice cream from Dairyland, Inc.  Also, enjoy complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides.  Third Street Park is the perfect place to spend your lunch break!  Free Event!

 

CHERRY BLOSSOM ORGAN CONCERTS

The Macon Chapter of The American Guild of Organists will present a 30 minute organ concert especially for guests of the Cherry Blossom Festival. Jolene Davis, Organist from Athens, Georgia will be featured.  Please call 478-745-8601 for more information.  Free Event!

 

PARTY WITH A PURPOSE FEATURING KJ-52 & SEVENGLORY

Visit www.cherryblossom.com for tickets or more information.  The night of fun and fellowship will be highlighted with performances by KJ-52 and Sevenglory.  KJ-52 has rocked audiences around the globe with a live show that blends live instruments, a DJ, and high-energy antics which never fail to make the audience sing, yell, and dance.  Opening the show for KJ-52 will be Sevenglory who have a menagerie of musical influences including Jimmy Eat World, Radiohead, and classic rock legend Lynyrd Skynyrd.  Youth groups from around Middle Georgia can experience the hottest Contemporary Christian groups live during this fantastic concert event.

Break out your pink cowboy hats, boots and belt buckles for a night of dancing and casino fun.  Music by Terry Lee and the GT's will have the party in full swing. While party goers aren't dining or dancing, they will enjoy Black Jack, Craps, Roulette, Caribbean Stud, Three Card Poker, and Texas Holdem'.  The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for guests to bring picnic baskets and their own beverages.  The casino will open and the band will take the stage at 8:00 p.m.  Tickets can be purchased online, at the Cherry Blossom Gift Shop located at 577 Cherry Street, or at the door.

Join us at Miller Lite Central City Park for an evening of live Motown music by Papa-Sol.  They are a powerful band featuring danceable pop or soul!  Papa-Sol plays hits from the vintage years of the 1950's to today, and will keep old time rock and rollers dancing all night with songs such as "I'll Be There", "Proud Mary", "Shout", and many more. GEORGIA MUSIC HALL OF FAME LIVE AT FIVE

The popular happy hour concert series takes on Macon's First Friday, a downtown community & business event collaboration sponsored by NewTown Macon. Live at Five showcases a diverse offering of artists from across the state. OCMULGEE NATIONAL MONUMENT LANTERN LIGHT TOURS
Presented by the Ocmulgee National Monument; 7:00 and 8:30 p.m. 1207 Emery Hwy. Adults only $5.00 and children are free! 
Experience a ranger led, one mile walk among the ancient Ocmulgee Mounds.  The tour ends with a dramatic view of downtown Macon at night.  For more information, please call 478-752-8257.
