The Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful Commission would like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas but to remind you to make recycling a part of your holidays.  The Bring One for the Chipper Christmas Tree Recycling Program will be held January 10, 2009 from 9 until 2 at Central City Park.  Don't throw that old Christmas tree away, recycle it and receive a free seedling and mulch while supplies last.  If you can't make it on the 10th, early drop off locations will be available beginning December 26th at the following sites:


Central City Park behind Luther Williams Field
Barnes and Noble on Tom Hill Blvd
Goodwill Career and Conference Center
Kroger on Hartley Bridge Road
Kroger on Zebulon
Midtown Kroger on Pio Nono
Capital City Bank on Bass Road
Wal-Mart on Gray Highway
Wesleyan Collge
Rocky Creek Foods on Rocky Creek Rd
Home Depot on Presidential Pkwy

There will also be an electronics recycling held at the front of Central City Park on January 10th Sponsored by the City of Macon, Public Works Department, Creative Recycling and KMBBC.  Items accepted will include monitors, telephones, cell phones, batteries, power cables, vacumes, ink cartridges, transformers, lcd monitors, circuit boards, keyboards/mice, speakers, cameras, projectors, toner cartridges, remote controls, pc's, dvd players, vcrs, copy machines, microwaves, networking equipment, hubs, pdas, modems, scanners, fax machines, mixed & hard drives, servers, televisions ($10 processing charge for tvs)

Unaccepted items:Refrigerators, dish washers, fluorescent tubes, bio-waste, washing machines, mercury containing devices, hazardous chemicals, laundry dryers, light bulbs, hazardous materials.
