Cherry Blossom Gift Shop & Think Pink Kick-Off


Cherry Blossom Officials announced today at a press conference in downtown Macon it is time to Think Pink!  2010 Festival Chair Lee Robinson officially opened the Cherry Blossom Gift Shop from now until April 9th.  The storefront located at 577 Mulberry Street is open seasonally and sells festival souvenirs including commemorative pins, plates, art prints, mugs, and t-shirts. 

Robinson also reminded everyone about the Think Pink Kick-Off coming this Saturday, February 27th at ACME Paint and Decorating on Riverside Drive.  “We encourage everyone to break out your pink wreaths for your front doors, bows for your mailboxes, and come by the Think Pink Kick-Off this Saturday to get blossoms painted on your cars” stated Robinson in an effort to cheer on Macon to prepare for the upcoming festival and welcome visitors and tourist to the City over the next month.

2010 Festival Board Chair Steve Jukes announced all festival tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at www.cherryblossom.com or through Mercer Ticket Sales at 478-301-5470.  Jukes also explained a ticket package the festival is offering for the first time.  “If you buy a ticket to the festival’s Diamond Ball, Fashion Show, and Tour of Homes, you will get a free ticket to Tunes and Balloons” said Jukes.  Ticket packages are only available by calling Mercer Ticket Sales.

Jukes said there are two ways to get a full 2010 Cherry Blossom Festival schedule of events, either “By going online at www.cherryblossom.com or in brochure form available at the Gift Shop and many local businesses throughout the community”.   The 2010 festival is scheduled for March 19th through the 28th.
